59th Annual Meeting of the IMVCA – 2013
The 2013 IMVCA annual meeting is over. We had a great time! The talks were very informative and ranged over a variety of topics including vector surveillance, vector competence, emerging arboviruses and other pathogens, weather patterns, and intraspecific larval competition.
On Thursday, November 21st, we conducted a Student Competition where both undergraduate and graduate students gave presentations related to their current scientific research. The results of the student competition are listed here.
First Prize – Sarah Cleeton-Schneider, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Runner Up – Allison Gardner, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Runner Up – Peter Brabant, Illinois State University
Honorable Mention – Tyler Hedlund, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Honorable Mention – Kristina McIntire, Illinois State University
